“Dare 2 Defend” Apologetics Conference

Smithtown Christian School will be hosting a regional apologetics conference with New York Apologetics on Friday night, April 28th and Saturday, April 29th.

This is a first-of-its kind event for Long Island, where four national-level apologetics speakers will present a full conference to equip believers to represent Christ effectively in an increasingly hostile culture. Roger Erdvig, Superintendent of the school, hopes to see many Long Island youth and young adults at the event and urges churches in the area to get the word out to as many as possible.

Nick Mitchell, director of New York Apologetics, says, “Culture has become increasingly hostile toward the Christian faith.” If we vaccinate our children before they go on a missions trip to a foreign country, he points out, why wouldn’t we want to vaccinate them before sending them into the culture?

The “Dare 2 Defend” conference at Smithtown Christian School has been organized to form a coordinated, united front in dealing with the secular culture. “Together, we can strengthen our churches and help our children to survive the cultural onslaught,” says Mitchell.
